An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and compassionate Court of Protection Paralegal to join a highly regarded Legal 500-ranked law firm in Manchester. Working within a specialist Court of Protection team, you will support vulnerable clients and their families in matters relating to property and financial affairs, helping to make a meaningful difference to their lives.
This role offers excellent exposure to high-quality work, close client contact, and the opportunity to develop your expertise within a nationally recognised department.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting solicitors and fee earners with a broad range of Court of Protection matters.
- Managing day-to-day administration of deputyship and attorneyship files.
- Preparing Court of Protection applications, annual reports, and supporting documentation.
- Liaising with clients, families, care providers, local authorities, case managers, and financial institutions.
- Supporting the management of clients' property and financial affairs.
- Drafting correspondence, witness statements, and other legal documents.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with file management, billing, and general case progression.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience working within a Court of Protection, Private Client, Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, or related legal environment.
- A genuine interest in Court of Protection and vulnerable client work.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
- A proactive and empathetic approach to client care.
- Strong IT skills and experience using case management systems.
