We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to manage an existing caseload of wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney (LPAs), deputyships, and probate matters. The successful candidate will deliver excellent client service, assist in developing the private client team, and contribute to growing the department's profile.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload of wills, trusts, LPAs, deputyships, and probate matters from inception to completion.
- Provide high levels of client care and maintain accurate records using case management systems.
- Draft and review legal documents, witness and certify client documents.
- Liaise with clients, colleagues, support staff, and external third parties.
- Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations and firm policies.
- Assist colleagues with complex cases and provide holiday cover as required.
- Support business development initiatives and marketing activities to attract and retain clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of private client law, including estate planning and probate procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years PQE in private client work.
- Proven experience managing a caseload of wills, trusts, LPAs, deputyships, and probate matters.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with case management systems.
- Commercial awareness and ability to identify risks and make informed decisions.
