The firm is seeking an organised, proactive, and team oriented Legal Administrator to join its Intellectual Property Litigation team. The role sits within a team supporting senior lawyers and paralegals. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with prior litigation experience who is looking to develop their career within a specialist IP disputes practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the Intellectual Property Litigation team, including assisting senior lawyers with the coordination and supervision of the paralegal team.
- Managing the paralegal team’s day to day workload, including scheduling, prioritisation, and responding to routine queries.
- Reviewing correspondence and court documents prepared by paralegals prior to senior lawyer approval.
- Assisting with the preparation of court bundles and hearing materials, including pagination, redaction, and electronic linking.
- Proofreading legal documents, formatting pleadings, engrossing correspondence, and ensuring document accuracy.
- Maintaining accurate diary management for key dates, deadlines, and client meetings.
- Managing the receipt of licence fees, damages, and costs, and coordinating payments to clients.
- Preparing monthly billing for fees and disbursements.
- Acting as a point of contact for clients and defendants, including handling calls, obtaining information, and providing general updates.
- Undertaking document retrievals or hand deliveries when required, including occasional travel outside the office.
