Head of Private Client / Probate Solicitor Location: Norton Salary: Competitive + benefits Contract: Full-time, Permanent We are currently working with a well-established Yorkshire law firm seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Private Client / Probate Solicitor to lead an established and growing department. This is a senior leadership opportunity suited to an ambitious Private Client Solicitor with strong technical expertise, proven management experience and a genuine interest in departmental growth and strategic development. The Role You will take overall responsibility for the performance, development and strategic direction of the Private Client department, managing a team of 8 fee earners and support staff whilst ensuring high standards of client care and legal service delivery. Key Responsibilities β€’ Managing a varied caseload of private client matters including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, LPAs, Trusts and Court of Protection work β€’ Leading, mentoring and developing a team of 8 across the department β€’ Overseeing departmental performance, KPIs, compliance and operational management β€’ Supporting business development initiatives and strengthening referral relationships β€’ Maintaining high levels of client care and technical excellence β€’ Working closely with senior leadership on departmental strategy and long-term growth plans Requirements β€’ Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive in England
