Simpson Judge has partnered with an FCA-regulated digital bank focusing on property finance, business and commercial banking, private banking and personal savings areas. Working within the FP&A team at a small bank provides members with unique and direct access to senior leadership, offering opportunities to influence executives and build relationships across the Bank. The successful candidate will be encouraged to continuously develop their technical knowledge, professional skills, and practical understanding of the business drivers across all of the Bank's products and services. This role involves collaborating with senior team members and setting an example for junior staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Bank's management reporting cycle (monthly, quarterly, and annually) by ensuring that MI packs are accurate and insightful to aid decision-making
  • Enhance reporting and analytical capabilities to deliver valuable business insights
  • Analyse the Bank's competitors and effectively communicate key findings to senior management
  • Collaborate with Financial Control during the monthly reporting cycle to ensure timely closure and provide robust challenges to maintain ledger integrity
  • Understand business drivers and support the creation, maintenance, and review of budget and forecast models across the Group, including departmental costs
  • Contribute to wider finance initiatives, ad hoc projects, and operational improvements as required by the finance team, and support the implementation of strategic changes
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes, accounting standards, and Bank procedures
  • Support the Bank’s M&A activity

Requirements:

  • ACCA/ACA/CA Qualified (minimum 1 years PQE)
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Experience within FP&A, Business Partnering or Business Intelligence
  • Background in Banking/Financial Services
