ROLE: FAMILY LAW SOLICITOR // LEGAL EXECUTIVE (2-7 years PQE)

Flexible part (3 days a week) or full-time appointment

LOCATION: Oldham or Todmorden office. Some home working is a possibility/negotiable after successful completion of a probationary period.

An excellent opportunity for someone to join a busy/respected team to develop confidence & experience in a broad caseload of family cases (no care or legal aid) with a bias towards private law children work. The successful candidate will work directly with the Partner in charge of the Family Team. We also have an apprentice solicitor in the team.

Essentials

  • A solid background in private family law work (children/finances/cohabitation)
  • Excellent client care skills, good time management and organisational skills.
  • A team player.
  • An enthusiasm for advocacy.
  • Willingness to participate in business development opportunities.
  • Commitment to abide by the Resolution Code of Conduct.

Desirable

  • The confidence to conduct some initial court appointments.
  • Applications from those based in/with contacts in the Oldham/Saddleworth/Calder Valley/Manchester areas particularly welcome.
  • Applications from men welcomed to diversify the team.
  • Self sufficiency in typing (but secretarial support available).
  • Commercial awareness of billing and fee collection.

Salary - market rate (based on level of experience) plus performance related bonus plus referral rewards.
