An established and highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a motivated Paralegal to join its busy Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of contentious matters while supporting experienced solicitors in delivering pragmatic and client-focused legal solutions.
The Role
You will assist fee earners on a varied caseload of civil and commercial disputes, working with both individual and business clients. The team adopts a constructive approach to resolving disputes, utilising negotiation and alternative dispute resolution wherever possible, while maintaining strong litigation expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of a caseload including contract disputes, property disputes, debt recovery, landlord and tenant matters, and contentious probate
- Drafting legal documents such as correspondence, court forms, witness statements, and bundles
- Conducting legal research and summarising findings clearly and concisely
- Supporting solicitors with pre-action protocols, disclosure, and trial preparation
- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts, and third parties
- Attending court hearings and taking detailed notes where required
- Maintaining accurate and organised case files in line with procedural deadlines
About You
- A law degree (LLB) or equivalent qualification (LPC/SQE desirable but not essential)
- Previous paralegal or legal assistant experience in litigation or dispute resolution is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
- A genuine interest in dispute resolution and litigation
