My client's busy Private Client Department is experiencing a period of sustained growth and we are now inviting applications for the role of Private Client Paralegal to join our established and friendly team in Derby.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional Paralegal to take on a varied and engaging role within a thriving private client practice. You will manage your own caseload and work closely with experienced colleagues, using specialist case management software to deliver a high standard of client care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of wills, powers of attorney and estate administrations
- Preparing and progressing probate and associated legal documentation
- Liaising with clients, beneficiaries and third parties in a professional and empathetic manner
- Supporting the wider Probate team and contributing to the continued growth of the department
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for Wills & Probate / Private Client law.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous hands-on legal sector experience, preferably in a Probate or Private Client environment
We will also consider candidates without direct experience, provided you have:
- A law degree, CILEx qualification (or equivalent), and/or
- Are currently studying for the LPC or SQE, and
- Can clearly demonstrate a sincere interest in building a career in Probate law (rather than simply seeking to 'get a foot in the door')
For candidates with long-term ambitions, there are realistic progression opportunities within the firm.
