A boutique specialist employment law firm are looking to appoint a high-quality Employment Solicitor (newly qualified and above) to support an incoming senior hire who will be spearheading the growth of our Bristol office. This is a genuine ground-floor opportunity to join a developing team, work closely with a recognised senior practitioner, and play a key role in establishing and growing the firm’s presence in the South West.
The role is open to solicitors with either claimant or respondent experience, and we are keen to hear from lawyers with a strong technical base, commercial awareness, and the ambition to develop their practice within a collaborative environment.
The Role
- Advising employers and/or individuals across the full spectrum of employment law matters
- Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision and support
- Supporting the senior hire on complex and high-value matters
- Drafting and negotiating contracts, settlement agreements, and policies
- Handling Employment Tribunal claims from inception to resolution
- Contributing to business development initiatives and the growth of the Bristol office
- Building strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of service
About You
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or due to qualify), NQ+
- Solid grounding in employment law, gained on either the claimant or respondent side
- Strong drafting, technical and communication skills
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Enthusiastic about being part of a developing office and team
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
