We, at Simpson Judge are currently working with a well established multi service law firm who are looking to bring in a litigation paralegal into their Dispute Resolution department. With a focus on commercial litigation, the firm represents clients of all sizes in Shareholder Disputes, Director Disqualification, Property Litigation, Professional Negligence, Breach of Contracts and Contentious probate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist solicitors in preparing and managing commercial litigation cases.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and discovery requests.
- Maintain and organise case files, documents, and evidence.
- Communicate with clients, experts, and other parties involved in litigation.
- Attend court hearings and trials as required, assisting solicitors in the presentation of cases.
- Draft correspondence and reports, ensuring all documents are accurate and timely.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and court procedures.
About you:
- A degree in law or equivalent qualification (essential).
- Previous experience in a paralegal role, preferably in Commercial Dispute Resolution.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
