Join one of the UK's leading Court of Protection teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor to further develop their expertise within a highly regarded team, working alongside recognised specialists on high-quality and often complex matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing a varied caseload of Court of Protection property and affairs matters from inception through to conclusion.
  • Advising professional and lay deputies, attorneys, clients, and family members on a wide range of Court of Protection issues.
  • Preparing and progressing applications to the Court of Protection, including deputyship applications, statutory will applications, gifting applications, and other complex matters.
  • Supporting vulnerable clients with the management of their financial affairs, property matters, care arrangements, and long-term planning.
  • Working closely with case managers, financial advisers, therapists, care providers, and other professionals involved in clients' support networks.
  • Attending client meetings, including visits to clients in their homes, hospitals, rehabilitation settings, and care facilities.
  • Managing substantial deputyship estates, including budgeting, property transactions, investment matters, and ongoing financial administration.
  • Drafting applications, witness statements, reports, and correspondence.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and their families, providing practical and empathetic advice.
  • Assisting with business development initiatives, networking opportunities, and maintaining the team's strong reputation within the Court of Protection sector.

ABOUT YOU

  • Qualified Solicitor 2-4 years' PQE.
  • Experience handling Court of Protection property and affairs matters.
  • Strong understanding of deputyship administration and Court of Protection procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with vulnerable clients and their families.
  • Experience managing your own caseload and working autonomously.
  • A genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals and delivering outstanding client care.
