RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle a varied residential property caseload, including sales, leasehold, new builds, off-plan purchases, buy-to-let, remortgages, development transactions, Shared Ownership/Help to Buy, and work for high-net-worth clients
- Provide practical legal advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process, ensuring smooth progression from instruction to completion.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other property documents while ensuring compliance with current property law and regulations.
- Liaise with lenders, estate agents, surveyors, and other parties to coordinate and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records, track case progress, and meet deadlines effectively.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Qualified solicitor (NQ+) with residential property experience, ideally handling a varied caseload of sales, leasehold, new builds, off-plan purchases, buy-to-let, remortgages, and development transactions.
- Non qualified experienced fee earners will also be considered.
- Exposure to Shared Ownership/Help to Buy schemes and high-net-worth client transactions is desirable.
- Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiating skills for contracts, leases, and property documents.
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with clients, lenders, estate agents, and other parties to progress transactions.
- Excellent organisation, record-keeping, and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Keen to join a small but growing team within a national top ranked firm.
