The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced non-contentious Construction Solicitor to join a busy and highly regarded construction team. This role is ideal for a solicitor with at least 5 years\’ post-qualification experience who is seeking exposure to a broad range of non-contentious construction matters, and who is keen to take on responsibility for mentoring and supervising junior team members.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior fee-earners, interact with clients across multiple sectors, and gain exposure to high-profile regional and national projects. The role also offers scope to develop skills in adjacent areas such as commercial property and actively contribute to business development initiatives.

The Role

As a Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on a wide range of non-contentious construction matters, including contracts, project documentation, and compliance issues.
  • Supporting developers, contractors, housebuilders, and retailers on construction projects of regional and national significance.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team, providing guidance and technical support.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor across projects.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in other practice areas where projects intersect with commercial property, commercial contracts, or other related disciplines.
  • Assisting with business development activities, including expanding existing client relationships and cultivating new opportunities.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 years\’ PQE with solid experience in non-contentious construction work.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of fundamental construction law.
  • Experience advising on contracts, project documentation, and compliance matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Drive, ambition, and a proactive, \”can-do\” attitude.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
