We are looking to recruit an experienced Claimant Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2-6 years\’ PQE to join a specialist team in Leeds City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a caseload of multi-track clinical negligence claims while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will run a caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, assisting clients through all stages of their claims, from initial instructions to case closure. Caseloads are assigned according to complexity, and support from paralegals and administrative staff is provided as necessary. Cases vary from high-value, complex matters to smaller, straightforward claims, and all are handled with a focus on excellent client care.
You will be responsible for:
Managing your caseload efficiently and in line with office procedures.
Taking instructions from clients and advising on their claims.
Instructing counsel or other experts as required.
Representing clients in court where appropriate, including advocacy.
Preparing and maintaining accurate file documentation.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of clinical negligence law and best practice.
Supporting team business development activities.

Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including advocacy and drafting.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
Strong client service focus with empathy and professionalism.
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Flexible, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
Knowledge & IT Skills
Proficiency in Windows, Word, MS Teams, and Excel.
Knowledge of Solicitors\’ Code of Conduct.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a current practising certificate or equivalent.
APIL Litigator / Senior Litigator accreditation desirable, depending on experience.
2-6 years\’ post-qualification experience predominantly in claimant clinical negligence.
