A highly regarded London law firm is looking to appoint an ambitious Associate to join its established Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, highly respected claimant practice handling a varied caseload of high-quality personal injury and clinical negligence matters. The successful candidate will work alongside recognised specialists in the field while enjoying genuine responsibility, strong client contact and excellent career development opportunities.

The Role

  • Manage your own caseload while working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of claimant matters.
  • Managing claimant personal injury and clinical negligence files from instruction through to settlement or trial.
  • Advising clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and legal correspondence.
  • Conducting negotiations and progressing claims efficiently.
  • Attending client meetings, conferences and court hearings where required.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding client service.
  • Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the department.

About You

  • Around 2+ years' PQE in Personal Injury and/or Clinical Negligence.
  • Experience acting for claimants.
  • Experience independently managing a caseload.
  • Strong technical litigation skills.
  • Excellent drafting and communication abilities.
  • Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • High levels of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • A genuine desire to continue developing their career within claimant litigation.
