An established and busy law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join its Personal Injury department based in Runcorn. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and organised Legal Secretary to provide dedicated support to fee earners within a supportive and well-established legal team.

The Role

You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners while also assisting with front-of-house duties and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing front desk operations, including greeting clients and handling incoming calls.
  • Providing a high standard of customer service to clients and visitors.
  • Audio typing and preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
  • Providing general administrative and secretarial support to fee earners.
  • Photocopying, scanning, and filing confidential legal documents.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post.
  • Maintaining an organised and efficient office environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience working within a law firm.
  • Possess strong audio typing skills (essential).
  • Be competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a professional and friendly manner when dealing with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience using a legal case management system would be advantageous, but is not essential.
