Up to £75,000 p.a. dependent on experience. Onsite in Bromsgrove, Worcs., with some flexibility to WFH 1 day per week. Managing a small team.
We are delighted to be partnering with a fashion-forward, £18m t/o business, who distribute across the UK and internationally, to appoint an interim Financial Controller to cover maternity leave for 12 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant, growing business as no. 1 in Finance and to take on the management of their small Finance team.
Key duties will include:
- Lead the day to day Financial & Management Accounting function
- Provide key financial information for internal and external stakeholders
- Finance lead for key projects in the business
- Train, support and manage the finance team
- Review and Preparation of the month end closing and production of monthly Management Information alongside the Management accountant
- Preparation of monthly financial information with analysis
- Monthly sales analysis reporting to Management team
- Lead annual statutory accounts and management of annual audit
- Account for UK and international trade ensuring the business is compliant with all tax and other financial legislation
- Preparation of budgets & forecasts
- Preparation of accounts & processing of all transactions within the holding company
- Production and submission of quarterly VAT returns
- Management and review of credit control
- Cashflow forecasting and management of cash based on actuals and forecast cash requirements
- Payments to UK and international suppliers
- Forex management including foreign currency contracts
- Preparation and completion of monthly payroll including all associated supporting schedules
This role would best suit a Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equiv.) who is seeking a warm and personable working atmosphere within a company that is continuing to see significant growth.
We are looking to appoint the successful candidate before the end of February, so candidates immediately available or available at short notice would be my client's strong preference. Unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship, or consider candidates who would need to relocate.
