The Opportunity
\n
We are looking for a qualified Solicitor or CILEX professional with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE to join a busy established Wills & Probate team in Bolton.
\n
\n
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, self-motivated individual who is keen to take ownership of their caseload, support and supervise a team, develop their client following and play an important role in the continued development of the office.
\n
\n
The Role
\n
You will manage your own caseload and provide a professional, knowledgeable and compassionate service to clients, including elderly clients and families dealing with bereavement.
\n
\n
Your responsibilities will include:
\n
• Managing a caseload and maintaining accurate case management records
\n
• Advising on and preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
\n
• Dealing with Probate and Administration of Estates
\n
• Advising on Court of Protection matters
\n
• Drafting Wills, LPAs and related legal documentation
\n
• Preparing and submitting applications to the Probate Registry
\n
• Advising on matters relating to the Mental Capacity Act
\n
• Working with testamentary trusts and related matters
\n
• Attending clients in nursing homes and private residences when required
\n
• Supervising and supporting team members to ensure a high standard of work
\n
• Maintaining accurate and complete files and meeting all deadlines
\n
• Providing a friendly, professional and client-focused service
\n
• Contributing to your own professional development and the wider development of the team
\n

What We’re Looking For
\n
We’re looking for someone who is:
\n
A qualified Solicitor or CILEX professional with 3+ years’ PQE
\n
Experienced in Wills, LPAs and Probate
\n
Knowledgeable in the Mental Capacity Act
\n
Ideally STEP qualified or working towards STEP qualification
\n
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
\n
Confident working independently and managing a caseload
\n
Experienced in supervising or supporting a team
\n
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
\n
IT literate with strong word-processing skills
\n
Professional, reliable and approachable
\n
Ambitious and keen to develop their career and client following
\n
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
\n
Flexible, proactive and eager to develop new skills
\n
\n
A full UK driving licence and access to a car for business use is required, as occasional travel to other locations and client appointments may be necessary.
