A well-established and expanding law firm specialising in housing litigation is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join its growing Breach of Contract team. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of pre- and post-litigation breach of agreement matters on behalf of tenants
  • Draft applications relating to breach of agreement and specific performance
  • Prepare and issue Part 8 proceedings where appropriate
  • Review and analyse expert surveyor reports
  • Negotiate settlements and assess damages
  • Liaise with Counsel and prepare court bundles and instructions
  • Handle matters relating to access and decant issues
  • Utilise a case management system effectively and ensure compliance with internal processes
  • Maintain excellent client communication throughout the lifecycle of a claim
  • Build positive working relationships across departments
  • Assist with additional duties as required to support business operations
Candidate Requirements

Applicants must be qualified Solicitors with experience managing their own litigated caseloads. While previous Housing Disrepair Breach of Contract experience is desirable, candidates from other high-volume litigation backgrounds, such as personal injury, will also be considered.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Ability to bill work at Grade C level or above
  • Experience using a case management system in a volume litigation environment
