The Opportunity

We are delighted to be representing a well-established and highly regarded legal practice in the appointment of an Employment Tribunal Advocate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced advocate or employment law professional looking to join a progressive firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services and achieving excellent outcomes for its clients.

The successful candidate will become an important member of the team, handling a varied caseload of employment disputes and representing clients through all stages of Employment Tribunal proceedings.

The Role

As an Employment Tribunal Advocate, you will:

  • Advise and represent clients in relation to a broad range of employment disputes.
  • Prepare cases for Employment Tribunal hearings and preliminary hearings.
  • Conduct advocacy and represent clients at Tribunal proceedings.
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements, submissions and other relevant documentation.
  • Manage a caseload from initial instruction through to resolution.
  • Provide clear, commercially focused advice to clients.
  • Conduct legal research and remain up to date with developments in employment law and Tribunal procedure.
  • Work closely with colleagues to develop effective case strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements where appropriate, including ACAS conciliation and settlement agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Contribute to the continued development and profile of the firm's employment offering.

About You

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience handling Employment Tribunal matters.
  • Strong advocacy and oral presentation skills.
  • Excellent drafting and written communication skills.
  • The ability to manage a caseload independently and work to deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound commercial judgement.
  • A confident and professional approach to client relationships.
  • The ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of your own matters.
  • A genuine interest in employment law and a desire to develop your career within a successful practice.
