The Opportunity

We’re working with a market-leading Employment, Pensions & Immigration team who are looking to bring in an Employment Solicitor (1–3 PQE) to their Liverpool office. You’ll be joining a team that works with some of the UK’s best-known employers, handling a really interesting mix of work across employment, pensions and immigration. It’s a great chance to get stuck into high-quality matters while building strong client relationships.

The Role

This is a varied role where you’ll manage your own caseload while also supporting the wider team. You’ll be advising clients on day-to-day HR and employment law issues, as well as getting involved in tribunal work and advocacy.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing your own caseload of employment matters
  • Advising clients on HR and employment law issues
  • Attending and supporting Employment Tribunal hearings (including advocacy)
  • Drafting documents such as tribunal responses, witness statements and general correspondence
  • Supporting colleagues on more complex matters when needed
  • Getting involved in client training, networking and business development
  • Working towards billing targets and keeping to internal processes

  • 1–7 years’ PQE in employment law
  • Solid experience handling employment matters
  • Advocacy experience is a bonus, but not essential if you’re keen to develop it
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
