The Role
- Work closely with experienced litigators on a wide range of commercial dispute matters, gaining exposure to high-quality work while developing your technical and client management skills.
- Assist with and manage a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters.
- Work on disputes including breach of contract, shareholder/director issues, debt recovery, professional negligence and general business disputes.
- Support on all stages of litigation, from pre-action through to trial and enforcement.
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, correspondence and conduct legal research.
- Attend client meetings, court hearings and mediations where appropriate.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver effective client outcomes.
- Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
About You
- NQ + PQE with background from litigation (civil or commercial), housing despair, personal injury, dispute resolution, debt recovery.
- Strong academic background and solid technical grounding.
- A keen interest in developing a career in commercial disputes.
- Confident communicator with good client-facing skills.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
