An established, client-focused claimant personal injury practice is seeking a Serious Injury / Multi-Track PI Solicitor to manage a litigated caseload of mid-value to high-value EL/PL/RTA claims.
You will run files from instruction through to settlement or trial, lead expert conferences and negotiations, and contribute to a collaborative team known for championing underserved clients and delivering outstanding client care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow a multi-track personal injury caseload from instruction to settlement or trial.
- Assess liability and quantum, including reviewing medical evidence, obtaining reports, and applying current case law.
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, Part 35 questions, and detailed schedules/counter-schedules.
- Analyse evidence to resolve disputes on liability, causation and quantum.
- Secure interim payments promptly and arrange appropriate rehabilitation.
- Conduct robust negotiations with insurers and defendant firms, minimising write-offs and disbursement issues.
- Maximise personal billings and contribute to department forecasts.
- Apply strong commercial awareness to drive profitability and identify value-add opportunities.
- Use the case management system in line with policy and coach junior staff on best practice.
- Collaborate with Marketing on case stories and client-friendly insights.
- Support thought leadership and professional presence on LinkedIn.
- Stay current with CPR updates, costs reforms and medico-legal developments.
- Strong claimant experience across intermediate track and multi-track PI litigation.
- Demonstrable record of meeting or exceeding billing targets while maintaining excellent client care.
- Confident communicator with outstanding interpersonal and client-care skills.
- Team-oriented with strong commercial awareness.
- Flexible and able to attend the office for key meetings and team days.
- £45,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience)
