Our client is a Top 30 accountancy firm whose charity and not-for-profit division is now the largest in the business. They are looking for a Senior Audit Manager to take ownership of a high-profile portfolio spanning large national charities, international organisations, professional institutes, membership bodies, schools and faith-based charities.
What you'll do
- Manage and develop a diverse portfolio of charity and not-for-profit audit clients including large national charities, international organisations, membership bodies, professional institutes, schools and faith-based charities
- Lead client meetings, manage end-to-end service delivery and act as the primary relationship holder for your portfolio
- Advise clients on sector-specific issues and provide general business guidance alongside audit delivery
- Drive business development activity and tender for new charity sector mandates
- Oversee, mentor and develop audit staff, supporting their technical and professional growth
- Contribute to internal training programmes for staff and managers
- Lead and support internal audit and special project assignments
What you'll need
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Demonstrable experience managing charity or not-for-profit audit clients at Manager level or above
- Strong working knowledge of the Charities SORP and charity sector reporting requirements
- Working knowledge of charity tax
- Confident communicator comfortable presenting to trustees, senior management and at sector seminars
- Experience supervising and developing junior audit staff
- Caseware experience desirable
