We are working with a leading international law firm seeking an experienced Associate / Senior Associate to join its Leveraged Finance team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a leveraged finance lawyer looking to take on a more senior and visible role within a highly regarded finance practice. The team advises lenders, debt funds, sponsors and corporate borrowers on a broad range of leveraged and acquisition finance transactions, with a particular strength across the mid-market and upper mid-market. The practice handles complex domestic and cross-border matters, including leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, unitranche and direct lending transactions, senior and super senior facilities, refinancings and recapitalisations.
The role involves:
- Leading leveraged and acquisition finance transactions
- Advising banks, alternative lenders, debt funds, sponsors and borrowers
- Drafting and negotiating complex facility and intercreditor documentation
- Managing transactions from initial structuring through to completion
- Supervising and mentoring junior associates
- Developing direct client relationships and contributing to business development
The successful candidate will have significant experience in leveraged finance, acquisition finance or a closely related banking and finance practice. You are likely to be a Senior Associate or an experienced Associate ready to step into a more senior role.
