We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Construction Partner to join our expanding team. This role focuses primarily on contentious construction and engineering matters, including adjudications, arbitrations, mediations, and litigation (TCC), with exposure to non-contentious advisory work to support clients across the project lifecycle.
This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer seeking their first Partner role, or for a dispute resolution / commercial litigation professional looking to move into construction. You will manage complex disputes, provide strategic advice, draft and negotiate key documents, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to business development and practice growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Act for employers, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants on contentious matters
- Advise on delays, defects, payment disputes, variations, termination, and professional negligence
- Draft pleadings, submissions, witness statements, and settlement agreements
- Support clients with contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, and procurement strategy
- Build client relationships and participate in marketing, networking, and thought leadership
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to practice development
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 8+ PQE
- Strong dispute resolution or commercial litigation experience
- Construction experience desirable but not essential
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client management skills
- Commercially focused and able to manage complex matters independently
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
