RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing a diverse commercial property caseload with a strong focus on land and development work, including site acquisitions, disposals, finance and refinancing, section 106 agreements, deeds of easement, conditional contracts, and collateral warranties.
- Delivering clear and commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of property transactions.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, leases, and other property-related legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
- Advising clients on acquisitions, disposals, and development projects, as well as general asset management matters.
- Supporting development schemes from initial site assembly through to completion, liaising with agents, developers, lenders, and other stakeholders throughout each stage.
- Managing secured lending and refinancing matters for both private and commercial clients, ensuring all transactions comply with current property laws and lender requirements.
- Undertaking due diligence and title reviews, identifying and resolving potential risks efficiently.
- Liaising effectively with clients, external legal advisors, and third parties to progress transactions smoothly and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Supervising and supporting junior team members where required, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Contributing to business development activity by maintaining strong client relationships and promoting the firm's services.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Qualified Solicitor with 4-8 years' PQE (England & Wales other levels also considered).
- Solid experience across a range of property matters, ideally including commercial and/or development work.
- Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
- Ideally managerial or supervision experience.
- Confident in managing files independently and prioritising competing deadlines.
- A proactive, client-focused approach and genuine interest in developing long-term relationships.
- Motivated and positive solicitor who puts people first - whether clients or colleagues.
- Driven to keep improving, deliver excellence, and make a real impact every time.
