I'm currently working with a well-established and highly regarded Manchester-based law firm that is looking to recruit a Family Solicitor (NQ-2 Years' PQE) to join its privately funded Family Law team. This role is a replacement position, offering an excellent opportunity for a junior family lawyer to step into a stable caseload and work closely under the supervision of the Managing Partner. The firm has a strong reputation for its client-focused, pragmatic approach and offers a genuinely supportive environment for junior solicitors.
The Role
- You will handle a varied caseload of privately funded family matters, with appropriate supervision and mentoring, allowing you to develop both technically and commercially.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of privately funded family law matters
- Advising clients on divorce, financial remedies, private children matters, and related family issues
- Drafting legal documentation, correspondence, and court applications
- Conducting client meetings and maintaining strong client relationships
- Assisting the Managing Partner on more complex matters where required
- Using LEAP case management system to manage files efficiently and compliantly
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ-2 Years' PQE)
- Experience in privately funded family law work (including during training)
- Strong communication and client-care skills
- Well organised with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working under supervision while developing independence
- Experience using LEAP is advantageous
