Family Lawyer - Doncaster

Location: Doncaster
Hours: Full-time or part-time
Working Arrangement: Initially office-based, with potential hybrid working once an established caseload has been developed

The Role

A growing specialist family law team in Doncaster is looking for a Family Lawyer to join its expanding department.

The role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative team, with genuine scope for career progression and professional development. The level of responsibility and supervision will be tailored to the successful candidate's experience.

You will manage or assist with a varied private family law caseload, including:

  • Divorce and separation
  • Financial remedy
  • Private children matters
  • Cohabitation disputes
  • TOLATA claims
  • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  • Separation agreements
  • Protective injunctions

Your responsibilities will include taking instructions, advising clients, drafting legal documents, negotiating with other parties and attending meetings and hearings where appropriate.

About You

Applications are welcomed from NQ solicitors through to experienced lawyers, as well as CILEX Lawyers, Trainee Solicitors and experienced Family Law Paralegals.

You should have practical family law experience and strong:

  • Client-care and communication skills
  • Drafting and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and sound judgment
  • Case management and time-management abilities
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience in private children and financial remedy matters is desirable, while TOLATA experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
