We, at Simpson Judge, are currently working with a well-established multi-service law firm who are looking to bring in a litigation paralegal into their Dispute Resolution department. With a focus on commercial litigation, the firm represents clients of all sizes in Shareholder Disputes, Director Disqualification, Property Litigation, Professional Negligence, Breach of Contracts and Contentious probate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist solicitors in preparing and managing commercial litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Maintain and organise case files, documents, and evidence.
  • Communicate with clients, experts, and other parties involved in litigation.
  • Attend court hearings and trials as required, assisting solicitors in the presentation of cases.
  • Draft correspondence and reports, ensuring all documents are accurate and timely.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and court procedures.

Requirements:

  • A degree in law or equivalent qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience in a paralegal role, preferably in Commercial Dispute Resolution.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
