An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join a well-established boutique commercial law firm based in Derby. This role has become available due to an upcoming vacancy within the Commercial Property team. The team is seeking an experienced candidate who can quickly integrate and contribute from the outset. Given the busy nature of the department, the successful candidate will be confident handling matters with minimal supervision and able to "hit the ground running."

The position sits within a busy and varied Commercial Property department and will involve handling a broad mix of work, including:

  • Commercial sales and purchases
  • Landlord and tenant matters, including leases
  • Development work
  • Corporate support property transactions
  • A small amount of high-value residential conveyancing

This is a diverse caseload offering exposure to high-quality commercial property matters, including work with well-known property development clients in the Midlands.

The firm is ideally seeking a solicitor with 2-3 years' post-qualification experience in commercial property. However, candidates with more or less experience will be considered where there is a strong fit for the team and the wider firm. The successful candidate will:

  • Have solid experience in commercial property matters
  • Be able to manage their own caseload with limited supervision
  • Demonstrate strong client care and commercial awareness
  • Be based locally to Derby/Nottingham (preferred)
  • Hold a full driving licence (as travel to offices or client meetings may occasionally be required)

This is not a high street practice, but a boutique commercial firm providing a suite of business law solutions to commercial clients. The firm prides itself on delivering high-quality, commercially focused legal advice in a supportive and flexible working environment.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary dependent on experience (open to market guidance)
  • Discretionary annual bonus scheme
  • Generous annual leave allowance
  • Additional birthday leave
  • Christmas office closure (in addition to annual leave)
  • Health shield subscription covering dentistry, medical expenses, prescriptions, physiotherapy, massages and more
  • No daily time recording targets
  • No annual fee targets

The firm offers exceptional flexibility, including:

  • Hybrid working (home, Derby office, or Nottingham office)
