The Opportunity
A leading national full-service law firm is looking to strengthen its highly regarded Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Corporate team with the appointment of an experienced Corporate Solicitor at Associate or Senior Associate level.
This is a particularly strong opportunity for a qualified corporate solicitor with substantial experience across both Equity Capital Markets and public M&A. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a broad range of transactional ECM experience, rather than a narrowly focused capital markets background.
Candidates must have:
- A strong corporate law background and be a qualified Corporate Solicitor.
- Broad experience across Equity Capital Markets transactions.
- Meaningful experience of public M&A.
- The ability to take ownership of transactions and manage matters confidently.
- Strong technical and commercial skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic advice to sophisticated clients.
The client is particularly interested in speaking with candidates at 5PQE and above, and will consider applications from lawyers with significantly more experience who are looking for a platform offering high-quality transactional work and genuine long-term progression.

You will work with clients across a broad range of sectors, including technology, life sciences, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail, real estate and construction. There is also significant scope for cross-border work, including UK, European and transatlantic transactions.
The role provides genuine responsibility. Associates and Senior Associates are encouraged to take ownership of matters, work directly with clients and develop their own profile within the ECM and wider corporate market.

You will be joining an established corporate practice with the backing of a substantial national team. The firm has a strong presence across the UK and works collaboratively across its offices, providing access to a broad network of experienced corporate lawyers and opportunities to work on transactions with national and international reach.
The client is particularly interested in speaking with candidates based in London and the surrounding commuter regions who already have strong corporate, ECM and public M&A experience.
This is an opportunity to work on high-quality, sophisticated capital markets and public M&A transactions within a growing national practice, while benefiting from a flexible hybrid working model.
The Team
You will join an established and growing national Corporate team of more than 90 lawyers, supported by experienced Partners, Senior Associates, Associates, Solicitors, Trainees and Paralegals.
The ECM practice has a strong reputation for advising businesses and their advisers on transactions involving both AIM and the Main Market, with clients and counterparties across the UK and internationally.
The wider corporate team advises businesses throughout their corporate lifecycle and has a strong track record of acting on complex and high-value transactions.
The Person
The key requirement for this position is quality corporate transactional experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5PQE+ as a qualified Corporate Solicitor.
- A strong background in Equity Capital Markets.
- Broad ECM experience, ideally covering a range of transactions rather than one particular area.
- Strong public M&A experience.
- Experience managing transactions and taking responsibility for matters.
- Excellent technical legal knowledge and commercial judgement.
- The confidence to advise clients directly and work closely with senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- An interest in business development and developing relationships within the ECM and corporate market.
- A collaborative approach and an ambition to progress their career.
