As part of our strategic growth, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Senior Associate to join our thriving team.
The Role
As a Senior Associate, you will work on a diverse and high-performing caseload of complex commercial disputes, with the opportunity to take a leadership role on major cases and support junior team members. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a broad range of commercial disputes including contractual claims, shareholder/director disputes, professional negligence, fraud, breach of duty and high-value business litigation.
- Acting for a broad client base including corporates, financial institutions, professional services firms, SMEs and high-net-worth individuals.
- Taking a lead role in case strategy, client management and project delivery on major matters.
- Handling all stages of dispute resolution including pre-action strategy, mediation/ADR, interim applications, trial preparation and enforcement.
- Overseeing and mentoring junior lawyers, providing guidance, supervision and contributing to team development.
- Drafting and reviewing complex pleadings, witness statements, expert instructions and settlement agreements.
- Managing risk, ensuring best practice compliance and maintaining excellent file and case management.
- Supporting business development initiatives, contributing to pitches, attending networking events and helping grow key client relationships.
The successful candidate will bring:
- 4+ years’ PQE in commercial litigation/dispute resolution from a reputable regional, national or international firm.
- Demonstrable experience in handling complex, high-value disputes.
- Excellent technical ability, strong strategic thinking and sound commercial judgment.
- Confidence in client-facing roles and the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members is advantageous.
