I am currently working with a highly regarded law firm that is looking to expand its housing disrepair team with the appointment of an experienced Housing Disrepair Solicitor. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a strong background in housing disrepair claims to manage a varied caseload while contributing to the continued success and growth of the department.
The Role
- Manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims from instruction to conclusion.
- Advise clients on housing conditions, landlord obligations, and available remedies.
- Draft legal documents including letters of claim, witness statements, schedules of works, and court pleadings.
- Conduct negotiations with landlords, local authorities, housing associations, and their representatives.
- Instruct and liaise with surveyors, experts, and counsel.
- Attend court hearings and case management conferences where required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, procedural rules, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate case records using the firm’s case management systems.
- Meet individual and departmental performance targets.
