Our client is a dynamic powerhouse delivering grid-scale energy storage and power infrastructure across the UK. Backed by major infrastructure investors and scaling rapidly, our Client is recruiting for a Compliance Manager to join them on a permanent staff basis.
You will be managing all areas of our Clients environmental and regulatory compliance, engaging with stakeholders, and supporting the delivery of our Clients energy development projects. In addition, there will be interaction with the wider development and construction team in Merseyside to ensure that new projects consider the latest developments in terms of compliance and permitting for the schemes.
- Submitting necessary permit Variations via Environment Agency Portals.
- Entering annual activity data via Environment Agency Portals.
- Tracking of ongoing emissions monitoring requirements on a site basis.
- Engaging with the Environment Agency to provide reporting of our emissions and ensure their compliance reports are received.
- Scheduling emission monitoring with contractors and the Control Room and attending monitoring activities as necessary.
- Management and updating of our Clients Environmental Management System as required under the Permitting regime.
- General compliance activities as related to existing Sites but also our Clients development portfolio of Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects entering construction.
Relevant knowledge of industry fire and drainage requirements would be advantageous.
Degree (or equivalent) in environmental science or equivalent field.
The role is based at our Clients Nottingham Office but there will be a need to travel to the company head office in Merseyside and operational and development power generation sites, as well as to external locations, so a full driving license is required.
