The Commercial/Contract Manager provides commercial oversight and control to ensure successful project delivery in line with company strategy and both operational and financial targets. This role involves managing key contracts and liaising with internal and external stakeholders on major assignments. The Commercial/Contract Manager also promotes contract awareness and provides guidance on commercial matters to protect the company’s interests and maximise opportunities on high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all commercial processes (including procurement) are implemented and adhered to.
- Contribute to the development of processes that support growth and improvement.
- Draft and develop robust commercial documents (in collaboration with Legal) to protect company interests.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Communicate contractual terms - particularly financial aspects - to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coach and develop staff on best practices in managing complex contract issues.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term project delivery.
- Participate in pre-contract negotiations and agreement of terms.
- Support bid processes by identifying and communicating commercial risks.
- Undertake additional duties as required by project demands.
