The Client: A leading global player within the nuclear industry.

The HVAC Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the production of the commissioning documentation associated within the HVAC scope of a high-profile project. Based in the UK (Bristol), the position will operationally report to the HPC Commissioning Group Lead in the group and support the wider group\’s commissioning team regarding all questions in interface with HVAC commissioning discipline.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, execution, monitoring, and close-out of all commissioning documentation related to HVAC systems within the nuclear island scope.
  • Translate complex engineering inputs into deliverables that meet stringent safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams – including systems engineering, I&C, electrical, and construction – to ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Support both the group and client-side teams on the planning and execution of commissioning tests, ensuring readiness for the final test phases.
  • Monitor progress, manage risk, and ensure compliance with the group\’s engineering procedures and project governance.

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Degree qualified Engineer (in an appropriate scientific or engineering discipline)
  • First successful experience in Nuclear Engineering
  • Knowledge of project design, UK context is a plus.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary teams on large projects
  • Knowledge of System Engineering principles

  • Able to take a strategic view with good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at all levels
  • Motivated and disciplined with an ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work across multiple workstreams
  • Able to write and review technical documents which present complex arguments clearly
  • Able to take a proactive approach to management and resolution of technical topics
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, able to liaise between multiple stakeholders and maintain a clear overview for specific topics
