The Role
As a Design Configuration Engineer, you will be instrumental in managing the design configuration of a Floating Nuclear Power Plant. Working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment, you will help ensure that evolving technical requirements are translated into robust, well-managed design packages. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of clean, reliable, zero-emission power solutions on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all configuration aspects of design packages for the Floating Nuclear Power Plant
- Maintain design registers including Open Items, Non-Conformances, Interface Sheets, and Design Changes
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders (designers, regulators, classification societies)
- Author Design Review Reports and support Gate Review processes
- Collaborate with the Principal Marine Engineer and Naval Architect on platform integration
- Ensure compliance with configuration control procedures and documentation standards
Key Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Engineering (BEng or equivalent)
- Experience in the nuclear and/or marine sectors
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design teams and managing technical documentation
- Proficient in using Electronic Document Management Systems
- Comfortable with CAD software (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD preferred)
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical information
