As a Web Developer, you will play a key role within the Marketing Team, supporting the group’s four brand websites - Simpro, BigChange, ClockShark and AroFlo. This role focuses on developing, maintaining and optimising these websites to deliver exceptional user experiences, while supporting lead generation, SEO performance and consistent brand presence across the portfolio.
Location: Reading RG1, on-site.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, test and deliver high-quality websites, web pages and components with accuracy, responsiveness and compliance with company policies and brand guidelines.
- Build complete and functional web pages from Figma designs, implementing clean, responsive layouts across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
- Adapt to and work within multiple CMS environments (including Webflow and other platforms) to post content, update pages and implement new modules or features as required.
- Translate marketing and design requirements into well-structured, efficient HTML, CSS and JavaScript code.
- Implement technical SEO best practices - including optimal page performance, semantic structure and metadata - to support the Marketing Team’s lead generation and organic search goals.
- Collaborate closely with designers, content creators and marketing managers to ensure marketing objectives are reflected in web execution.
- Analyse existing website structures and codebases to identify and safely execute updates or improvements without disrupting site function.
- Continually review work practices and recommend optimisations to processes, systems or architectures to enhance website performance and team efficiency.
- Use generative AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity while maintaining strong foundational coding and problem-solving skills.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2+ years of experience in front-end or web development, ideally within a marketing, digital or agency environment.
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of responsive and accessible design principles.
- Experience working across multiple CMS platforms with differing architectures and workflows.
- Understanding of marketing concepts such as leads, conversions, content strategy and SEO performance metrics.
- Basic design literacy and the ability to accurately translate Figma layouts into pixel-perfect web pages.
- Analytical and detail-oriented problem-solver capable of diagnosing issues and implementing practical, maintainable solutions.
- A collaborative team player who communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
