Tech Merchandise is an established UK trade supplier specializing in creative, promotional merchandise, focusing on the manufacture and supply of unique and high-quality corporate promotional tech products. As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a UV Digital Print Operator to manage and lead print operations. You will set, proof, and prepare work for digital production printing, ensuring the highest standards and quality service within set timeframes.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure all work is completed within the designated timeframes and prepare digital print files for variable production printing.
- Support print production when workload permits.
- Operate all digital production print machinery to a high standard.
- Develop a good working knowledge of production printers and RIPs used in the digital print environment.
- Handle data submissions of print files and customer data via mail merge and FTP applications.
- Maintain and manage image files across production printer RIPs.
- Provide technical advice to Account Handlers.
- Perform validation checks and quality assurance throughout print runs.
- Document processes and exceptions for colleague coverage during holidays.
- Manage stock counts and documentation.
- Log and coordinate printer servicing.
- Train staff members as needed.
- Proven experience in digital pre-print.
- Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, and VersaWorks.
- Proficiency in PC literacy.
- High attention to detail.
- Calm, organized, customer-focused, positive, and flexible.
- Ability to manage fast-paced periods and be self-motivated, assisting with other tasks during quieter times.
- Experience with Roland printers.
