About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to be the champion of our customers, diving deep into their experiences, pain points, and aspirations to ensure that our products not only meet but exceed their expectations. This role is critical in our journey towards achieving and maintaining product-market fit. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for customer-centric product development. Department Overview

The Product and Engineering department at Simprints is focused on developing innovative biometric solutions to help solve the problems of our users. We take a product-centric approach, ensuring our technology drives social impact through close collaboration and user-focused design.

Key Goals:

  • Enhance Biometric Solutions: Continuously improve our biometric products to ensure they are adaptable, reliable, and meet the diverse needs of our users.
  • Drive Cross-Company Product Development: Promote collaboration across the entire company to accelerate the delivery of impactful, user-focused features.
  • Ensure User Success: Go above and beyond to ensure our users benefit from our technology by providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, and guidance, while actively participating in decision-making and project implementation.

Role Responsibilities

  • Working within the department to own problems all the way to the delivery of solutions.
  • Coordinate dependencies between Mobile and Cloud engineering teams to ensure seamless solution delivery.
  • Gathering and synthesising customer insights from internal teams (e.g., Partnerships, Operational Delivery) and external sources (field visits, user interviews, market research) to inform product development.
  • Support prioritising high-level problems to solve in the product backlog.
  • Reviewing our projects to determine how well our product is performing.
  • Work with Engineering Managers who run the development teams, ensuring they are involved and informed. Facilitating their participation in stakeholder calls and field visits to grow their autonomy in their respective teams.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technology and best practices in our sector. Grow our customer obsession in everything we do through education, processes, and tools.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager in an agile environment, working on mobile or cloud-based products.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with a variety of different audiences.
  • Experience managing technical products and roadmaps.
  • Proficiency with an issue-tracking tool (e.g. JIRA, YouTrack).
  • Ability to communicate effectively across many levels, building strong interpersonal relationships with engineers, designers, operational managers, and external stakeholders.
