As a Dental Claims Handler, you’ll be responsible for handling the Denplan Trauma workload in line with our policies. You will be dealing with customers and dental practices through various channels (telephone, email, online and paper) whilst offering a positive experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensuring the Denplan Trauma workload is dealt with effectively, including staffing the Denplan Trauma phone line.
  • Display excellent communication skills with key internal and external stakeholders and be comfortable to face in to difficult conversations.
  • Ensuring workload is handled accurately and against stretching targets to meet service levels.
  • To provide excellent service by taking full ownership of claims and queries, following these through to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Managing our Denplan Trauma workflow, whilst providing both our dental practices and internal teams with specialist support, advice and at times, training.
  • Have an understanding of our product offering, policies and procedures in order to support the team in determining the best outcome when handling each claim for both the customer and the business.
  • Support and mentor Denplan dental practices to ensure that they are operating in a compliant manner in line with CQC, HIS, HIW and RQIA and other dental regulatory and governing bodies.

About you

To be considered you must have:

  • Previous experience in a customer service environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including influencing and relationship building.
  • Keen eye for detail and organisation, with the ability to retain information on multiple products and their terms.
  • The ability and desire to deliver a consistently positive customer experience, even under pressure
  • Curiosity and initiative to find solutions - to solve problems in order to reach a positive outcome

Our dream candidate will also have

  • Proven experience within the Dental industry.
  • Be GDC registered.
  • An understanding and knowledge of the principles of clinical governance and compliance in dentistry.

We have a head office in Hampshire, but depending on your role, you’ll be able to enjoy our ‘smart working’ approach This means you can flex when and where you spend your time. For many of us this means day to day work can be handled remotely, but there will also be times when we need to come together in the office to collaborate, attend training sessions, induction, briefings and more. You can expect to be in the office once per week.
