As a Software Developer, you’ll collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, Analysts, Technical Architects and other IT colleagues to build high‑quality software solutions that meet real business needs. You’ll work in an agile environment, contribute to creating a positive team culture, and take pride in delivering reliable, well‑tested, modern digital products. If you’re proactive, curious, and excited about using technology to make a meaningful impact, this role is for you.
Key responsibilities:- Take part in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, demos, and retros
- Translate user stories into high‑quality, testable code
- Evaluate feasibility and shape technical solutions
- Apply TDD and modern software engineering practices
- Review peer code and uphold our engineering standards
- Manage changes using Git and support CI/CD pipelines
- Stay curious - keeping up to date with new tools, frameworks, and technologies
- Communicate complex ideas clearly and simply
To be considered you must have:
- Knowledge of frontend and backend development
- Understanding of relational databases and object‑oriented principles
- Knowledge of successfully applying modern software architectural principles and design patterns
- Familiarity with agile delivery and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Experience with version control (Git)
- Exposure to Continuous Delivery tools such as GitHub Actions, Octopus, or TeamCity
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively
Our dream candidate might also have the following technical skills:
- Backend: C#, Golang, Node.js, or Java
- Frontend: React, Next.js, React Native
- Testing frameworks such as NUnit or JUnit
- Typescript
- Cloud knowledge: AWS (Lambda, Cognito) and Azure (API Management, Functions)

We have a head office in Hampshire, but depending on your role, you’ll be able to enjoy our ‘smart working’ approach. This means you can flex when and where you spend your time. For many of us this means day to day work can be handled remotely, but there will also be times when we need to come together in the office to collaborate, attend training sessions, induction, briefings and more. You can expect to be in our head office in Andover a minimum of once a week.
