We have an excellent opportunity for a confident and customer-focused individual to join our member services team and develop their sales skills. You’ll need to be:

  • Experienced with B2B telesales - and able to demonstrate success
  • Confident and professional on the telephone
  • Curious, hungry to learn - a self-starter

The primary responsibility of this role is to identify and engage new prospects through telephone and email outreach. This will support our Sales Professionals in achieving their weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets, while also driving growth in our membership base.

What you’ll do:

  • Respond effectively to inbound calls and emails from existing and prospective customers to promote services, minimise cancellations, and resolve enquiries.
  • Use the CRM system, alongside internal and industry databases, to identify and engage potential prospects through effective outbound calls. This includes holding quality conversations, handling objections, and ensuring the CRM is accurately and consistently updated.
  • Complete all required sales administration activities using our CRM.
  • Investigate customer issues and concerns, identifying and delivering appropriate outcomes to support successful and long-term relationships with member firms.
  • Build and maintain strong member relationships, fostering loyalty and long-term engagement.
  • Support customer success, revenue growth, and retention through proactive customer engagement and retention-focused activity.
  • Contribute to the development and strengthening of customer engagement strategies.

Knowledge building:

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the UK financial services intermediary sector, including the opportunities, challenges, and needs of advisers.
  • Build in-depth knowledge of the Group’s proposition, the value it delivers to advisers, and the competitive landscape in which SimplyBiz operates.

What you’ll need to succeed:

Essential requirements:
  • Working in a telesales role, ideally selling to businesses
  • Proven track record of meeting / exceeding sales targets
  • Thorough understanding of the sales process and sales techniques
  • High level of general IT literacy, including good working knowledge of MS Office applications, plus the aptitude to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including a collaborative approach to team working and relationship building with clients and colleagues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including an excellent telephone manner, active listening skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise prospect lists
  • Good level of numeracy and financial market awareness
  • Capable of developing in-depth understanding of an industry or sector (demonstrated through previous experience)
Desirable requirements:
  • Selling to financial advisers within the UK financial services industry
  • Using a CRM database

Important to know:

  • This is a hybrid role based in our Huddersfield office. You'll work from the office 3 days each week with your team.
