At Simply.TV you can work on everything from building frameworks for data ingest and processing, to data enrichment tools, migration tools, and the delivery of normalized datasets in JSON, XML and CSV via APIs, FTP, S3 buckets and more. We have hundreds of editors working directly in our own tech stack, pushing through thousands of datasets every day. You can choose to focus on building tools used by more than 200 editors across Europe and North America, or lean more into DevOps, utilizing AWS services such as ECS, EC2, RDS, Lambda functions and others. You will have a say in defining your role at Simply.TV and where you feel you best contribute to a fast‑growing scale‑up in the entertainment industry.
In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to support their needs in both tooling and data processing: translating user input into software solutions, and deploying and maintaining existing services. We are a small organization. We don’t have layers of product managers or scrum masters chasing you for delivery. Instead, you’ll work directly with the end users of your solutions and see the impact of your work first‑hand. If you enjoy being creative, you will also have the opportunity to design new workflows, dataflows, or even entirely new tools. We listen to our colleagues and empower them to build great solutions.
Our primary stack is Ruby on Rails version 7, with the intention to upgrade all our apps to Rails 8 in the coming months. We work with Docker, AWS ECS, MySQL and Elasticsearch. You will sometimes work solo on projects and at other times in small teams of 2-3 engineers on larger initiatives that span multiple Rails applications, supported by our Product Owner. We pride ourselves on high employee retention. We build strong teams that enjoy working and growing together. We’re small, flat, and retention-focused—building teams that love growing together.

- You identify and engineer new workflows, dataflows and tools where they create value for the business.
- You contribute both as an independent engineer and as part of small project teams (2-3 engineers) on cross‑application initiatives.
