We are looking for a Shift Manager to work on a permanent basis in St Helens. The role is working 4 on, 4 off - 2x 12 hour days and 2x 12 hours nights. Salary is c£38-45,000 per annum plus 22 days holiday, pension etc.
About the Shift Manager role:
Working within a modern manufacturing facility, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of production during your shift. You will lead a team of production operators, ensure manufacturing targets are achieved and maintain high standards across safety, quality, productivity and efficiency. This position would suit an experienced production or manufacturing leader who has worked within plastics, vacuum forming or FMCG manufacturing and is confident managing people and production performance in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities for the Shift Manager:
- Team & Shift Management
- Lead, support and develop a team of production operators and manufacturing personnel.
- Organise labour and allocate resources effectively to meet production requirements.
- Monitor attendance, performance, productivity and overall team effectiveness.
- Provide coaching, training and development to team members.
- Help build a positive, accountable and performance-focused working environment.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees where required.
