We are looking for a Document Controller to work on a 12 month contract in Chorley/Hybrid. The role is working Monday to Thursday - 2 days' in the office, 2 days' from home. Rate is c£20-30 Ltd per hour (outside IR35), depending on experience. Key Responsibilities for the Document Controller role: * Maintain and manage project document control systems, registers, and correspondence. * Set up new project folders, document registers, and filing structures. * Ensure all documentation meets quality standards, client requirements, and revision controls. * Coordinate the distribution, tracking, filing, archiving, and retention of project documents. * Liaise with project teams, clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure documentation is complete and correctly formatted. * Support document control audits, continuous improvement activities, and provide meeting administration when required. * Provide document control cover across Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing functions as needed. Requirements for the Document Controller role: * Previous document control experience within a project environment. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines. * Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) required; Business Administration qualification desirable. * Basic understanding of project management and internal auditing experience would be advantageous.
