We are looking for a Junior Quality Engineer to work for a large engineering company based near Ashton under Lyne. Salary is c£30-32,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company bonus, pension, healthcare etc. Duties for the Junior Quality Engineer role: Working alongside experienced Quality Engineers, you will provide support across a range of quality activities to ensure products meet the required specifications and quality standards. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity with genuine career progression. Key Responsibilities for the Junior Quality Engineer: * Support the Quality Engineering team with day-to-day quality activities. * Assist with product inspections and ensuring products meet specification requirements. * Help maintain calibration records and quality documentation. * Support the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management System (IMS). * Assist with general quality department administration. * Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and maintain high housekeeping standards. Previous experience required for the Junior Quality Engineer role: * Minimum of 3 years' experience within a manufacturing environment. * Previous experience within a quality department is desirable. * Understanding of manufacturing processes from raw materials through to finished products. * Knowledge of quality functions such as product conformance, specifications and calibration. * Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) or Integrated Management Systems (IMS) would be advantageous. * Experience working to high manufacturing standards, ideally within aerospace, defence or another precision engineering environment. * Good communication skills with a willingness to learn and develop.
