We are looking for a CAD Technician to work on a permanent basis in Widnes. Our client is looking for someone with good AutoCAD skills as well as a background in sheet metal/fabrication. Salary is cΒ£28-32,500 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension etc.
Key Responsibilities for the CAD Technician:
- Producing detailed drawing packs for manufacturing and production purposes
- Creating 2D and 3D technical drawings for a variety of projects
- Reviewing customer specifications and resolving technical queries
- Producing part drawings and profiles using CAD software and fabrication/manufacturing systems
- Supporting production and ensuring drawings are accurate and fit for purpose
- Assisting with workflow and coordinating with internal departments where required
Candidate Requirements for CAD Technician:
- Previous experience within sheet metal, fabrication, or manufacturing environments
- Experience using CAD software within an engineering setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Relevant CAD qualification advantageous
