We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer (Electrical/Electrician) to support operations across the Midlands and South of England. The role is home-based, with travel to customer sites as required. You will be responsible for maintaining and servicing specialist modular healthcare facilities installed at hospitals and private healthcare sites.
Salary is approximately £35-45,000 per annum (negotiable, depending on experience) plus company vehicle, overtime, 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension, healthcare etc.
Key Responsibilities for the Electrical Field Service Engineer:- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive servicing on electrical systems within modular medical units.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all systems are operating safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Attend sites including NHS and private hospitals where modular facilities are installed (e.g., MRI units, diagnostic labs, blood testing facilities).
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Liaise professionally with on-site staff and stakeholders.
- Support installation, commissioning, and decommissioning activities when required.
- Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, and vehicle.
Your focus will be on the electrical infrastructure and systems that enable these units to operate safely and reliably.
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role with an electrical focus.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Midlands and South.
